    Opportunity

    Direct, support and develop the quality and quality system initiatives including statistical process control (SPC), multivariable design of experiments (DOE), ISO 9000 certification and development, advanced product quality planning (APQP) support, and Kohler quality management system (KQMS) development and implementation.

    Coordinates and is responsible for ISO 9000, KQMS, Gage track, Receiving, Process improvement.

    Specific Responsibilities

    • Actively coordinate is be responsible for New Product Launch Activities.

    • Support New Product Launch activities and milestones with a focus on quality, cost, delivery, safety and morale metrics.

    • Use the ISO 9000 standards to improve day-to-day process variation by coordinating the seamless integrating the necessary systems into existing manufacturing process.

    • To conduct management review meetings in accordance with ISO 9000 standards.

    • Work with the Plant Manager and department heads to develop forward thinking plans to increase the effectiveness of the Quality System.

    • Monitor Cost of Quality results and engineer changes which will help the plant surpass COQ objectives.

    • Directly and through subordinates, effectively oversee traditional Quality Control functions.

    • Oversee implementation of calibration systems for inspection and process testing procedures/equipment used in manufacturing operations in accordance with ISO 9000 standards.

    • Scheduling and conducting frequent audits of finished products, reporting the results and monitoring trends

    • Restricting products from shipment, as necessary, in accordance with established procedures

    • Communicating with customers, other plants, and with consumer affairs and field sales, to resolve problems reported.

    • Continually strive to prevent/reduce claims and warranty.

    • Maintain ANSI, CSA, etc. certification status.

    • Drive warranty and UFR initiatives.

    • Develop database and lead yield enhancement initiatives.

    • Support process engineering functions by overseeing the preparation of process documents for designated operations in manufacturing, auditing operations for conformance to established procedures, recommending added or altered process-controls which will improve manufacturing results using techniques such as statistical process control and multivariable design of experiments.

    • Work with management to develop programs to further integrate the use of SPC and DOE as a way to eliminate process variation.

    • Direct the efficient administration of the department, and carry out the management responsibilities of planning, controlling, leading subordinated, and reporting.Submit recommended budgets and capital expenditures.

    • Trained on all applicable SOPs, LOPs, policies, and procedures.

    • Coordinate quality training for new employees

    • Coordinate internal and external ISO 9000 audits

    • Develop plan to implement KQMS

    • Gage Track control and update

    • Vendor claim and performance

    Skills/Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline from an ABET accredited engineering program, or a PE license.

    • Three or more years work experience or advanced technical degree with 6 or more years work experience.

    • Past results should include successful technical leadership on a major project.

    The salary range for this position is $98,900 - $125,600. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
