Staff Accountant

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in the accounting industry at our workplace in Wayzata, Minnesota. The role of a Staff Accountant is open, where the selected candidate will have the chance to handle a diverse array of accounting tasks and contribute significantly to our operations.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and efficiently processing customer credit applications.

• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable operations.

• Conducting bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.

• Handling payroll operations and ensuring timely and accurate payments.

• Preparing and recording journal entries in the general ledger.

• Conducting month-end close procedures to finalize financial records.

• Proficiently using QuickBooks for various accounting activities.

• Performing sales and use tax filing in compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Maintaining accurate customer credit records and monitoring customer accounts. Requirements - Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) operations, ensuring timely and accurate payments

• Demonstrated experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR), facilitating prompt collection

• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations, ensuring accuracy of financial data

• Proficient in managing the General Ledger, maintaining an accurate record of company transactions

• Experience in preparing Journal Entries, documenting business transactions

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures, ensuring all financial data is recorded within the specified timeframe

• Proficiency in QuickBooks, ensuring efficient financial operations

• Experience in managing Payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees

• Knowledge of Sage Intacct, demonstrating an ability to work with diverse accounting software.
