Staff Accountant

Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team based in Waukesha, Wisconsin. As a Staff Accountant, you will be involved in various accounting tasks such as the preparation of accounting work papers, financial statements, and income tax returns. You will have the opportunity to gain a wide range of experience in the public accounting practice.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage accounting work papers required for the compilation, review, and audit of financial statements

• Assist in the preparation of corporate, partnership, and individual income tax returns

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain the General Ledger

• Prepare and post Journal Entries as required

• Assist in the Month End Close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded

• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various accounting tasks

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary

• Ensure all accounting tasks are conducted in compliance with standard procedures and regulations Requirements - Must possess proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Ability to handle Bank Reconciliations is required

• Must be adept at managing the General Ledger

• Must be skilled in creating and maintaining Journal Entries

• Must have experience with Month End Close processes

• Familiarity with NetSuite is necessary

• Proficiency in Oracle is a must

• QuickBooks experience is required

• SAP knowledge is necessary

• Must have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is required

• Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task

• Attention to detail and accuracy is a must

• Must have a strong ethical framework and understanding of confidentiality

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.
