    Salary: $65,000 to $70,000 per year

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in handling the company’s financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting laws and regulations, and preparing financial reports. Your expertise in accounting principles will be key to your success in managing our financial transactions with accuracy and integrity.     Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

    • Maintain financial records and ensure their accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations.
    • Develop and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
    • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary.
    • Prepare & analyze financial statements to recommend efficiency improvements and cost reductions.
    • Prepare and adjust journal entries and complete general ledger operations.
    • Prepare budgets and financial forecasts in coordination with various departments.
    • Conduct variance analysis and prepare financial reports for management on a regular basis.
    • Manage payroll processing and ensure accurate computation of wages, compliance with regulations, and timely tax withholdings.
    • Identify opportunities for improving financial processes and controls.
    • Manage inventory accounting and maintain records of assets and depreciations.
    • Prepare & present departmental financial status reports.

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s & Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • 3-5 years of experience in financial reporting.
    • Proven work experience as an Accountant or in a similar role
    • Comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
    • Proficiency with accounting software and databases (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
    • Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
    • Ability to prepare, review, and understand financial statements
    • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
    • Knowledge of accounting procedures, including accounts receivable/payable
    • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
    • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Capacity to meet tight deadlines

    TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Requires the ability to operate general office equipment such as a computer, telephone, copier, and calculator. Requires the ability to lift and carry objects such as boxes of paper weighing up to 15 lbs.

    TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS

    Majority of the work is performed in an office environment.
