Staff Accountant

Description

We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our clients team in the Tax Consulting industry, located in Lincoln, Nebraska. As a Staff Accountant, you'll be tasked with enhancing financial efficiency through the creation of new processes, preparing and scrutinizing accounting records and financial statements, as well as reporting your findings to the management team.

Responsibilities

• Enhance financial efficiency by creating innovative processes

• Prepare and scrutinize accounting records and financial statements

• Conduct tax-related tasks and generate other financial reports

• Provide guidance and instruction to other staff members

• Lead a team of staff to achieve the company's mission

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations

• Perform Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger tasks

• Prepare Journal Entries and handle Month End Close procedures

• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP

• Prepare Financial Statements and conduct Bookkeeping activities

Requirements - Minimum of three years experience as a Staff Accountant within the Tax Consulting industry

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Demonstrated experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Ability to handle General Ledger operations

• Experience in preparing Journal Entries

• Capable of conducting Month End Close procedures

• Proficiency in using NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP

• Ability to prepare and analyze Financial Statements

• Bookkeeping skills are essential

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High attention to detail and accuracy in work.
