  • Description We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Everett, Washington. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity in the Financial Services industry. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for processing banking transactions, maintaining accurate account balances, and resolving customer inquiries.

    Responsibilities

    • Accurately process banking transactions and maintain customer account balances

    • Handle month-end close procedures and prepare journal entries

    • Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy

    • Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data

    • Respond to and resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts

    • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary

    • Maintain accurate customer credit records

    • Process customer credit applications efficiently. Requirements - Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential

    • Experience in managing banking transactions is required

    • Ability to maintain and manage account balances accurately

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary

    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the Financial Services industry is preferred

    • Demonstrated knowledge of financial regulations and standards is vital

    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy are crucial

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required

    • Candidates must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team are essential

    • Knowledge of accounting software and databases is a plus.
