Sr. Tax Accountant (contract)

Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Sr. Tax Accountant in the public practice industry, located in Dallas, Texas, 75204, United States. As a Sr. Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for handling various tax returns, reviewing them for accuracy, and ensuring compliance with the most recent tax laws. You will also oversee the correct setup and processing of data entries, and contribute to resolving any bottlenecks in the review process.

Responsibilities

• Handle tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and S-Corps, with minimal experience needed for C-Corps.

• Review tax returns and ensure their accuracy and compliance with the latest tax laws.

• Oversee the correct setup and processing of data entries.

• Contribute to resolving any bottlenecks in the review process.

• Utilize Lacerte Tax Software and Quickbooks for various accounting tasks.

• Prepare complex tax returns, income tax returns, individual tax returns, and partnership tax returns.

• Utilize skills in S-Corps, Lacerte Tax Software, Quickbooks Online, and QuickBooks.

• Ensure high level of service and support to all customers.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of recent tax season changes and implement them in work processes.

• CPA certification is beneficial but not required. Requirements - Must possess proficiency in preparing complex tax returns.

• Demonstrated experience in handling income tax returns is required.

• Expertise in individual tax returns is essential.

• Must have a solid background in preparing partnership tax returns.

• Experience in preparing tax returns is a must.

• Knowledge of working with S-Corps is desired.

• Must be skilled in using Lacerte Tax Software.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required.

• Familiarity with QuickBooks software is a must.
