    Job Description:

    The Program Manager Sr. Specialist is responsible for directing the daily tasks and ongoing administrative functions of the program initiatives adhering to contractual obligations and subsequent reporting on program initiatives from inception to completion. In addition, a Sr. Specialist must participation in and lead enterprise solutions projects (Continuous improvements), driving better business results though a dynamic business environment.

    Essential Functions:

    • The candidate will be responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of programs or subsystems of major programs.

    • Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.

    • Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.

    • Acts as primary customer contact for Recon program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.

    • In concert with Integrated Program Team (IPT) establishes business concepts, criteria, and critical tasks to ensure contract meets/ exceeds operational and financial goals.

    • Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems, and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.

    • Coordinates the work of the Functional Group with Project Engineering and Functional Group Managers assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas.

    • Ability to manage multiple and competing deadlines

    • Must be able to work directly and professionally with the Customer, Company Sr Management, and all Functional Groups.

    • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to conduct briefings to Sr Management.

    • Must be able to work individually, as well as have a strong sense of teamwork.

    • Minimal travel is required.

    • Qualified applicant will possess excellent managerial and leadership skills.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of aircraft experience and/or education. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

    • Previous aerospace or production operations experience is highly desirable.

    Prefered Additional Skills:

    • Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance accesses which requires US citizenship. Active clearance preferred.

    • Engineering/Sustainment, Planning, Procurement, Material Program Management, or Manufacturing background is beneficial.
