Sr. Roadway Design Engineer

Job Description

An employer is looking for a Sr. Roadway Design Engineer to join the firm and support large projects within the greater Nashville area. Position is hybrid, 3 days onsite. Will manage the budget, schedule, and personnel for roadway projects. Participate in marketing and business development opportunities with TDOT. Attend field reviews, take design to the field. Scoping projects on the front end, budgeting the project, and generating a set of plans for projects. Roadway design in MicroStation/Geopak and/or OpenRoads. Will mentor junior staff and teach roadway principles.

Skills and Requirements

PE License

BS Civil Engineering (must be civil for transportation)

5-10+ years of roadway design experience

Project Management experience -- personnel, budget, and client management

Experience with TN transportation with TDOT, TN municipalities, or other state DOTs

MicroStation or GeoPak design experience OpenRoads Designer (ORD) null
