Sr. Production Operator

Location: Woodridge, IL

Onsite

As a Sr. Production Operator, you will perform all production activities and operate production equipment in accordance with the plant capacity and in conformity with SHE requirements, SOP's, quality standard and production schedules. You will be responsible for operating the process with minimal supervision; analyzing samples and making process decisions; performing and scheduling minor maintenance repairs.

Responsibilities:

• Work with respect to SHE requirements and perform duties in a SHE responsible manner including but not limited to following safety rules, SOP's, and acting to minimize waste.

• Follow work schedules and attendance guidelines and participate in HR procedures applicable (appraisal, training, communication meetings...)

• Handle raw materials from receiving to the production storage area to the plant area and add them into the process reactors according to the SOP or manager production instruction.

• Monitor equipment and process parameters and take actions necessary to maintain process in control.

• Record process parameters in the batch records according to the time schedule and sign the batch sheet.

• Follow SOPs for the production process including all SHE related procedures.

You bring:

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience

• 2 or more years' experience in a chemical or pharmaceutical plant

• Completion of a petrochemical or chemical operating course, or equivalent job experience

• Knowledge of process safety and personal safety in a chemical plant environment

• Able to work rotating shifts (4 weeks night/day)

• Able to lift 50 lbs and move 55-gallon drums using a drum cart.
