Sr. Paralegal

Description

We are seeking a skilled Sr. Paralegal to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will be primarily handling commercial litigation matters, assisting in all phases of litigation from setting up the initial file to trial preparation. You will engage in drafting legal documents, providing support at hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial, and managing online document review platforms. Your advanced E-Discovery advanced experience with you!

Responsibilities

• Assist in all phases of litigation from setting up the initial file to trial preparation

• Draft a broad range of legal documents

• Provide support at hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial

• Manage online document review platforms such as Viewpoint, Disco, and Relativity

• Utilize these platforms effectively to prepare cases

• Interface consistently with clients and other attorneys at the firm

• Apply excellent time management and organizational skills to ensure efficient operation

• Use strong communication and interpersonal skills for constant interaction with clients and firm attorneys

• Handle complex business litigation and defense litigation

• Manage litigation cases, including filing and management

• Utilize case management software, LexisNexis, management systems, and Microsoft Excel for documentation and data management.

Requirements

Solid experience working as a paralegal who has supported attorneys who handle complex business litigation cases

Experience with white collar crime (defense) cases is a plus. You will also be working on civil litigation and tax cases

Should be able to assist with data collection decisions, and give direction when working with clients and vendors

Ability to estimate discovery costs, budget and negotiate with vendors

Must have familiarity with Relativity, Disco platforms-experience with Viewpoint will be a huge plus

Preferred that you have strong docketing skills

Must know local rules

Should be a pro at e-filing at federal and state levels

Trial attendance experience is a plus

Must have experience setting special appearance hearings

Should enjoy preparing trial and exhibit notebooks

Should have E-Discovery certification or willing to take ACEDS e-discovery course and maintain certification with CLE
