    Senior Network Engineer

     

    Location:

    Vicksburg, MS

    • Hybrid/

      Primarily work from home.

      The position is mostly

      work from home,

      but this person

      must

      live within a commutable distance to Vicksburg, MS

      . The

      expectation is that

      you will

      live close enough to Vicksburg that

      you

      can be onsite at any given time - for regular in person office days, to support both scheduled and unscheduled outages

      and other necessary reasons.

       

       

    Clearance:

    Secret or higher required

     

    Role Overview:

     

    Join a dynamic, collaborative team supporting the US Army Corps of Engineers' Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC)

    supporting the

    Office of the CIO

    OCIO

    . As a senior member of the Network Team,

    you'll

    oversee and troubleshoot critical networking operations within a highly integrated IT environment.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

     

    • Lead network operations, troubleshooting, and solutions across routing, switching, wireless, and security.

       

    • Ensure compliance with DoD Information Assurance (IA) requirements, including STIG audits.

       

    • Support Network Access Control (NAC) systems and assist across teams as needed.

       

    • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices to enhance network performance.

       

    Required Skills & Experience:

     

    • 10+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or Systems Engineer

       

    • Cisco networking expertise (routing, switching, wireless, security).

       

    • DoD IA compliance experience, including STIG audits.

       

    • Hands-on knowledge of Network Access Control (NAC) systems.

       

    Preferred Skills:

     

    • Familiarity with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).

       

    • Experience with DoD-approved cloud environments (Azure, AWS).

       

    • Understanding of VMware and virtual infrastructure.

       

    Qualifications:

     

    • Relevant certifications: CCNA, CCNP, Security+, CISSP (preferred).

       

    • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred, not required).

    • $120K - 150K, based on level of experience and skill set
