    ABOUT YOU:

    This enterprise role is responsible for managing the Email and Text marketing platforms and executing Jostens marketing automation strategy. The incumbent is responsible for executing email & SMS marketing, creating and enhancing audience segmentation, and testing new marketing automation features. A key area of focus will be advancing our SMS strategy by growing the number of subscribers, improving subscriber data, and integrating SMS with current systems/platform. The role manages the cross-functional relationship across the Enterprise, including senior leadership, as well as with our Marketing Cloud and Attentive vendors. The incumbent is also responsible for managing the Email and Text teams.

    YOU HAVE:

    • Passion. Energetic, self-starter with ability to collaborate and drive results.

    • Technical skills. Experience creating email audiences and complex campaign journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget). Solid technical knowledge of ecommerce platforms, IT systems, email & SMS service providers, and other digital marketing channels. Experience integrating complex consumer data files with marketing platforms. Knowledge of web tools including pixels, data-layer management, web analysis. Preferred knowledge of Snowflake and marketing platform integration. Preferred experience with Google Analytics and Attentive a plus. Preferred to be proficient in SQL.

    • Attention to detail. Strong problem solving and data analysis skills with experience working on fast turnaround, results-oriented analyses. Proven prioritization, analytical and project management skills and ability to manage multiple competing tasks simultaneously. Must be comfortable managing rapidly changing directions and priorities.

    • Great communication skills. Experience working with both business and technical teams to coordinate strategy and deployment. Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical partners at various leadership levels. Preferred experience with B2B & B2C marketing communication.

    • Experience. 6+ years experience in email and/or SMS. Strong understanding of audience segmentation, data analytics, and database integrations. Preferred experience driving SMS subscriber growth.

    • Education. BA/BS in marketing, business, technology, computer science, business information systems or similar fields.

    YOU WILL:

    • Support. Partner with Marketing, IT, and Data Engineering teams on audience creation, marketing automation enhancements, best practices, and compliance to drive the execution of effective email and text campaigns.

    • Update and maintain. Produce weekly and monthly campaign analyses across both channels and present to BU leaders and other Senior level staff.

    • Develop. Drive improvements in email marketing through audiences enhancements, updating consumer exclusion lists, personalization, and A/B testing.

    • Advise. Lead the SMS growth strategy by expanding consumer phone number database, improving consumer segmentation, and overseeing the execution of SMS marketing campaigns.

    • Strengthen. Manage marketing automation vendor relationships including invoicing, deliverables, timelines, and the appropriate accountability.

    • Help. Assist in the Marketing platform data integration with Snowflake, partnering with IT and Data Science teams.

    • Supervisory Responsibilities. Supervise up to 3 direct reports. Participate in decisions related to the selection, promotion, transfer, pay and discipline of assigned personnel. Clearly communicate job duties and responsibilities to enable individuals to proceed with certainty in the performance of their positions. Monitor the work performance of assigned personnel on a continual basis; conduct effective performance reviews; take corrective action whenever necessary and, where necessary, work with HR Generalists to establish performance improvement plans. Support the development of assigned personnel's skills and abilities and demonstrate by personal example the desired standards of conduct (Jostens values) and work performance. Identify and resolve skill gaps and succession issues. Administer Company policies with regard to discipline, absenteeism, etc., in a fair and equitable manner, and fully document all incidents and actions taken. Involve assigned HR Generalist on compliance issues such as pay equity, equal opportunity in hiring and promotions, and proper procedures for hiring, terminations, lay-offs, etc.

    • Typical/expected % of overnight travel. Up to 5%.
