The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services, Research Center or BBN team: Brief Description of Department /Job
The following position is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our RTX Corporate, Financial Reporting & Consolidations team. We are looking for a Sr. Manager, Financial Reporting & Consolidations (FR&C), who will be responsible for overseeing the team and processes to prepare the RTX's external financial reporting documents including Forms 10-Q/K and accompanying earnings release documents. This role will report to the Director, FR&C and will be a key member of the RTX Controllers team with frequent interaction with the various businesses and functions across the company, including Investor Relations, Legal, Financial Planning & Analysis, Tax, and Treasury, as well as great visibility to and interaction with the RTX Corporate Controller.
Lead the quarterly consolidation of RTX financial results in OneStream
Ensure accurate and timely filings of the Form 10-K and 10-Q, including review of financial statements and footnotes prepared by team
Support the earning release process and other external communications through partnering with Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, Legal, and various other business partners to prepare/review external communications/presentation materials
Review segment financial submissions and analytical deliverables to validate completeness and accuracy of the reported results. Work closely with the segments and the financial planning team to resolve any issues
Work with the Corporate and segment financial systems team to support and implement changes to our financial reporting systems
Review eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL)
Support the use of CORE process improvement tools to evaluate and improve processes
Train, develop and mentor a team of accounting professionals, including direct reports
Lead implementation of new accounting standards and document assessment and conclusion in adoption memo
Lead ad-hoc projects as needed (ie. accounting research, debt offerings, reorganizations, etc.)
Oversee the Financial Reporting & Consolidations control environment
Serve as the primary contact for our external auditors, ensuring successful completion of quarterly reviews and annual audit
1-3 days of quarterly travel for organizational meetings may be required
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or a directly related degree
This role typically requires 10 years of directly related professional experience; OR an advanced degree and 7 years of directly related professional experience gained in a fast paced, deadline driven large corporate or public accounting setting to include leading and managing teams
At least 7 years experience preparing, reviewing, or analyzing financial statements
At least 7 years experience with US GAAP Accounting, and the ability to apply US GAAP to a variety of circumstances
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements
Strong verbal and written communication skills, good business acumen and ability to brief all levels of management and the ability to work independently as well as in a team
Strong proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Knowledge of or experience with enterprise finance and accounting systems, such as OneStream, and month end close procedures
Experience with Workiva (SEC reporting tool)
Analytical, planning, and organizational skills to problem solve and recommend comprehensive solutions
Excellent teambuilding and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to maintain a service-oriented demeanor with professionalism in sensitive and challenging situations.
Experience with US GAAP and SEC requirements and the ability to apply them to a variety of circumstances
Prior public accounting experience
Experience with XBRL

This role is also eligible for the Re-Empower Program. The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
