Location Description Post Consumer Brands corporate headquarters in Lakeville, Minn. is about 20 miles south of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Lakeville has all the benefits of smaller town living with access to everything a large metropolitan area has to offer. Responsibilities OVERVIEW: The Sr Learning Consultant is responsible for delivering on the Learning and Development strategy for all corporate functions. This includes identifying skill gaps and creating a roadmap for designing, building and delivering learning solutions that deliver results. This is a highly cross-functional role requiring exceptional stakeholder coordination and alignment, partnering closely with corporate functional leadership, HR Business Partners, subject matter experts and external learning and development partners. In addition to building a strong culture of learning, primary areas of responsibility include program architecture and learning design, learning program development and delivery, program and project management, learning technology, and content management. Post Consumer Brands is making significant investments in learning and development across the enterprise. The Sr Learning Consultant is a critically important position, with the opportunity to reshape L&D and position Post Consumer Brands for continued growth. This role reports to the Director of Learning and Development and is an important contributing member of the L&D Community of Practice. RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: Program Architecture and Learning Design Operate as lead consultant for the instructional design process. Manage learning intake process and conduct initial needs analysis with stakeholders and senior leaders. Leverage standard instructional design methodology to develop engaging learning strategies and interactive learning experiences aligned to business goals and key initiatives. Develop solutions using a variety of modalities: instructor-led classrooms, eLearning, webinars, social networking/mentorship tools, gamification, case studies, etc. Lead multiple design projects using both internal and external resources. Stay up-to-date on current trends in the L&D space, and make recommendations as needed. Reinforce standards for content storage, maintenance, and updates. Build a standard design process and establish quality standards that ensure a consistent, high-quality learning experience across all corporate functions. Program and Project Management Reinforce process, tools and standards for learning programs and project management. Build and deliver easily digestible (simple) program/project status metrics and updates. Oversee the preparation and roll out of training programs, coordinating with trainers and managing logistics to ensure smooth delivery. Facilitate regular customer/stakeholder feedback to ensure learning program quality and relevance. Responsible for the management of multiple simultaneous projects and directing the work of internal and external resources. Accountable for projects to be delivered on-time, within scope and budget. Establish and regularly report on baseline metrics for learning engagement, learning outcomes and ROI. Learning Culture and Stakeholder Management Participate in the development of a long-term strategy and roadmap for building a stronger learning culture and operating model. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership to define, enable and reinforce clear behavioral expectations for managers and leaders related to building a stronger learning culture. Actively participate in and contribute to a thriving Learning Community of Practice to share best practices, stay up to date on current trends, and to align on content, technology, delivery, and measurement standards. Champion a continuous improvement mindset and work with our CI teams to continuously add value to the business. Partner with leaders, stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify critical skills gaps, improve learning outcomes, and align training with business goals. Conduct needs analysis, audience analysis, and scope learning impact to deliver innovative, performance-based learning outcomes. Measure learning outcomes using appropriate data and analytics and recommend improvements. Learning Technology Provide effective change leadership for the effective use and full adoption of learning technologies in order to ensure impact and ROI. Contributes to the evaluation and selection of learning technologies for the organization. Reinforce established standards and best practices. Qualifications REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor's degree in learning and development, instructional design, human resources, organizational development, industrial psychology, or related field required; Master's degree preferred. Experience: 7+ years of experience in a fully dedicated learning and development or equivalent role Excellent learning design skills using adult learning principles to design, develop, and deliver learning solutions to meet learning objectives Experience with measuring and reporting on training effectiveness and business impact Experience coordinating and gaining alignment among a diverse range of stakeholders Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience leading the development, delivery and evaluation of training initiatives to support ongoing improvements in knowledge, skills, process and engagement Highly detailed, organized, efficient and deadline driven on all project and administrative tasks Superior project management skills and ability to steward a team through a project Strong skills in Office (Excel, PPT, Word) Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to be Agile - Moving quickly and adapting to changes in real-time Ability to be Simple - Simplifying the complex to enable quick, aligned decision making.
