    Your Opportunity

    We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our Network Engineering team within the Cloud Operating Environment group. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in both on-premises and cloud environments, with a focus on managing and optimizing leaf-and-spine architecture in data centers to ensure high availability and performance. In the cloud, the role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable network solutions. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, promoting a balanced work-life dynamic, along with tools, training, and resources to support your growth and success.

    What You'll Do

    • Design, implement, and troubleshoot Leaf-Spine network architectures and ensure scalability within data centers.

    • Deploy and manage VXLAN (Virtual Extensible LAN) to provide scalable and efficient network virtualization solutions.

    • Manage Checkpoint firewall infrastructure

    • Design and implement complex network infrastructure both in the Datacenter and in the public cloud (AWS)

    • Assist in cloud integration and migration projects, especially in hybrid cloud environments, where your specific expertise is needed

    • Manage existing DNS architecture and integrations across core DNS systems such as Infoblox, Route53, and AD

    • Work directly with product management and your team while analyzing and decomposing complex networking requirements into simple user stories for planning and execution

    • Diagnose and resolve network issues, performing advanced troubleshooting.

    • Manage network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.

    • Assist with other teams on network automation using tools like Terraform and Ansible.

    • Monitor network performance and optimize for scalability, reliability, and security.

    • Lead efforts in network security configurations and best practices.

    • Implement network policies for high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery.

    • Stay updated with industry trends and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

    • Model and contribute to the continuous improvement of your team

    • Conduct new technology research, proof of concepts, and design work that will provide direction for the enhancement of the overall network

    • Exemplify the principles behind the Agile Manifesto and SAFe framework in all interactions.

    About You

    • 10+ years in network engineering, preferably in mid to large-scale environments with a strong understanding of fundamental IT concepts and technologies, such as DNS, SMTP, networking principles, TCP/IP, DHCP, and IT security best practices

    • Expertise in Leaf-Spine network architectures, including how to scale and troubleshoot them.

    • Expertise with VXLAN for network virtualization in data center environments.

    • 5+ years' experience with Cisco, Juniper, or similar network devices.

    • 5+ years of experience with networking routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)

    • Proficiency with network analysis tools (Wireshark, tcpdump, etc.)

    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex network issues.

    • Experience implementing network security controls, including next-generation firewalls (Checkpoint, Palo Alto), VPNs, and encryption protocols.

    • Hands-on experience in hybrid network environments, including cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP), along with expertise in using Terraform for network automation.

    • Required certifications - Cisco Certification (CCNA or higher)

    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex network issues.

    • Ability to work effectively in a team while mentoring junior engineers, supported by strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Preferred Skills

    • CCNP or higher certification

    • AWS Certified Advanced Networking certification

    • Understanding of Agile engineering practices

    • Familiarity with automation frameworks and practices (Ansible, Python, etc.).

    • Familiarity with security best practices (Zero Trust, IAM, etc.)

    • Experience with networking monitoring tools (Solarwinds, Nagios, SNMP)
