    Job Requreiments

    • Manage and coordinate all health and safety activities for the plant

    • Align and transform group and BA health and safety strategy into action plans and ensure implementation

    • Contribute to strategic and operative planning of the plant/operations unit (e.g. with respect to investments, capacity and headcount planning)

    • Ensure the achievement of S & H targets according to internal and external customer expectations

    • Initiate and implement continuous improvement activities by applying CBS methods and training measures

    • Interface to segment, BU or BA functions in order to gather local H & S requirements and demands and other feedback

    • Participate in and/or steer global or local ESH related and cross-functional projects

    • Conduct employee dialogues, personnel development and coaching

    • Represent plant at negotiations with responsible authorities concerning health and safety issues

    • Prepare, review and manage the budget and forecast of ESH cost centers

    • Plan and implement occupational safety (e.g. safety briefings, legal obligations, hazardous substances management) according to standards

    • Plan and implement plant security (e.g. external security service) and information security according to standards

    • Plan and implement medical services (e.g. plant medical officer, workplace ergonomics, industrial hygiene management, etc.) as well as occupational health management according to standards

    • Coordinate safety inspection procedures for new plant installations prior to their start-up

    • plan and conduct environmental and safety audits and compliance measures according to standards (i.e. CT management system, SH Corporate)

    • Implement external (e.g. ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001) and internal (e.g. ESH management manual, tools, KPIs) ESH standards and legal requirements and provide feedback and input for further development of standards

    • Follow up on legal regulations and evaluate possible impacts on processes and facilities ensure that all legally required permits are applied for in due time and that permit conditions are evaluated and implemented and advise plant management check compliance with legal and internal regulations/standards/processes and implement measures together with local authorities

    • Plan and implement emergency and crisis management (e.g. fire, incidents of damage, natural or other exceptional events, etc.) according to standards

    • Operate health and safety performance monitoring (e.g. by KPI and target tracking) and identify, prioritize and implement health and safety improvements (e.g. for work instructions, etc.)

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field

    • 5+ years experience in Health and Safety; 10+ years in Health and Safety in lieu of Bachelors degree

    • Strong communication skills both written and verbal

    • Experience with ISO and or other certification methodologies

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience in a manufacturing environment

    • Experience with environmental standards

    • Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety

    • Experience with ISO ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001
