  • Sr. Director, Global Security, Head of Innovation & Research

    Position Overview

    We seek a visionary and strategic leader to fill the Head of Innovation and Research role. This position will drive the future of application design and security by identifying and implementing methodologies, designing secure payment routes, and spearheading advanced security capabilities. The ideal candidate will be a forward-thinking expert who blends technical depth with innovative approaches to accelerate security program maturity in a large-scale, high-demand environment.

    This role demands a deep understanding of application security, malware research, and advanced security practices. You will work at the intersection of R&D, data, and AI, developing best practices and controls to address emerging threats while advancing preventative measures through large-scale exploitation prevention and detection engineering.

    Key Responsibilities

    Strategic Leadership

    • Lead innovation in application design to enable zero Dev capabilities.

    • Design secure payment systems with advanced risk mitigation strategies.

    • Establish a long-term roadmap for accelerating and modernizing security programs.

    Research and Development

    • Conduct cutting-edge research on application security, malware, and exploit prevention.

    • Develop and operationalize new security controls, leveraging AI and data-driven solutions.

    • Innovate processes to prevent advanced threats and address emerging attack vectors.

    Program Development

    • Drive R&D initiatives for scalable detection and prevention mechanisms.

    • Advance the use of AI and data to redefine security best practices.

    • Collaborate with detection engineering teams to design and implement innovative threat prevention strategies.

    Operational Excellence

    • Translate research findings into actionable security measures for large-scale deployment.

    • Ensure seamless integration of advanced security solutions into existing environments.

    • Act as a tactical and strategic advisor on product security innovation.

    Collaboration and Leadership

    • Build and lead a multidisciplinary team focused on innovation in security and research.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align security goals with business needs.

    • Act as a thought leader, advocating for advanced security practices within the organization.

    Key Qualifications

    • 10+ years of cybersecurity experience, focusing on application security and malware research.

    • Proven track record of driving large-scale innovation in high-demand environments.

    • Expertise in developing Dev application methodologies and secure payment architectures.

    • Strong understanding of detection engineering and exploit prevention at scale.

    Experience in security and innovative research, development, and publishing.

    • Experience with leveraging AI and data for security advancements.

    • Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on technical involvement.

    • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

    • Published research or patents in cybersecurity or related innovations.

    • Experience in managing R&D teams in enterprise-scale environments.
