    Broadridge is hiring! Are you looking for an impactful role where you can really make a difference across Broadridge? The Layer7 API Gateway Engineer will leverage, implement, and reinforce the API reference architecture, lifecycle, and mechanics across Broadridge adhering to defined standards of API management and delivery as defined by the API Lead Architect. The Layer7 API Gateway Engineer will also assist with identifying the scope, strategy, technology, and roadmap for Layer7 solutions and be responsible for troubleshooting any issues reported with the environment or solution/integration.

    We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means youll be assigned to a Broadridge officeand given some flexibility to work remote.

    Responsibilities

    • Direct hands-on experience in engineering/configuring and implementing Layer7 Gateway API solutions.

    • Experience in running multiple individual technology projects that converge towards the defined strategic solution

    • Partner with development / engineering and design teams to support and provide oversight in designing and developing integration solutions and prototypes.

    • Represent the API Platform team as the lead engineer of Broadridges API Center for Enablement (C4E) driving strategy, collaboration, and conformity across the enterprise.

    • Promote the usage of APIs to cross-pollinate product services while increasing the standardization of APIs across Broadridge.

    • Prepare and manage technical documentation and self-service resources on integrations.

    • Proactively monitor integration performance and troubleshoot, resolve, and report integration issues to impacted teams and stakeholders.

    • Understand integration Architecture concepts and patterns, including Microservices, Service Oriented Architecture, Batch Integration, etc.

    • Adhere to established development and integration processes, best practices, and standards.

    • Promote a collaborative team environment and work closely with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve goals.

    • Participate in the technical project planning process with IT business analysts and other business partners.

    • Direct experience with change management procedures.

    • Responsible for the migration of integrations/solutions between various Broadridge environments (DEV,QA/UAT, PROD) during the designated changewindows including nights/weekends at times.

    • On-call rotation support for reported issues, SEV1s, etc.

    • Provide direction and leadership for a team(s) of integration engineers.

    • Provide coaching and mentorship to junior engineers when necessary.

    Qualifications

    • 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in API management platforms, such as Layer 7 and/or the CA API Gateway version 10.0+ and API related activities such as: requirement analysis, solution architecture and design, building API policies and assertions.

    • Direct hands-on experience with CA API Gateway is required (API Developer Portal / OAuth Took Kit a plus).

    • Knowledge of configuring & maintaining CA API Gateway virtual appliances.

    • Prior experience with database (SQL Server/Oracle/MySQL/MongoDB/Cassandra).

    • Prior experience with the integration of CA SiteMinder with the CA API Gateway.

    • Provide routine administration including patching, deploying software, implementing changes, and server configuration.

    • In-depth knowledge of JSON, JWT, and JWKS and their underlying specifications.

    • Familiarity with the OAuth Manager component of the CA API Gateway including all aspects of client registrations and in-depth knowledge of the various RFC 6749 OAuth Grant Flows.

    • Understanding of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance.

    • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with CI/CD toolsrelated to API Lifecycles and Gateway Migration Utility to create update bundles between gateways

    • Strong understanding of change management procedures/protocols, maintaining design documentation including use cases and sequence diagrams.

    • Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to engineer/support multiple parallel efforts

    • Ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.

    • Bachelors degree in Computer Science (or equivalent applied experience).

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Additional Qualifications a plus

    • Knowledge of MuleSoft AnyPoint / Cloud Hub Integration tools; Microservices/API based on MuleSoft API Gateway a plus

    • MuleSoft Developer, Architecture and Operations certifications is a plus.

    • Applied experience with Container Orchestration (EKS, Kubernetes, ECS), Configuration Management tools (Chef & Puppet), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) a plus

    • Certifications related to API, DevOps and Security is a plus

    • AWS Cloud experience (AWS API Gateway, Lambda) is required; Knowledge of other cloud providers is a plus.

    • Knowledge of relevant coding languages (e.g. Java, C++, Scala, Python, SQL) a plus

    • Knowledge of Swagger and OAS3 a plus

    • Knowledge of PING Federate a plus

    Compensation Range:The salary range for this position is between $ 140,000 - $160,000.Broadridge considers various factors when evaluating a candidate's final salary including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education.
