  • Position Summary

    MAG Aerospace is seeking an experienced Cost Analyst to perform a wide variety of assignments in support of the Program Life Cycle Cost Estimates (LCCE) and Program Office Estimates (POE). You will be successful here when you partner with a variety of SMEs to build cost models and provide cost guidance that meet program requirements. Ideally you have been the one who wrote the briefings for leaders, and you would be prepared and ready to support briefings that stand up to Army and DoD level review.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Performs a variety of studies to develop, review, validate, maintain, present, and defend Project Manager (PM) positions for assigned programs or projects

    • Provide cost estimating advise to personnel at all organizational levels, on matters pertaining to application of cost analysis methodology

    • Perform a wide variety of cost analysis assignments in support of the program life cycle cost estimates (LCCE) and program office estimates (POE)

    • Develop or evaluate cost assessments, cost positions relating to the systems development, demonstration, and production approaches

    • Assess impact on systems and program costs, including analyses of prototype / R&D / brand new systems

    • Work with SMEs to develop independent Government cost estimates (IGCEs) and POEs that will stand up to Army and DoD level review

    • Provide technical guidance and information to meet requirements

    • Review product teams work for quality and accuracy

    • Coordinate work efforts with Product teams and APMs

    • Document the methodology of the cost models and the assumptions behind them

    Requirements

    Minimum Knowledge and Skills

    • Experience with program life cycle cost estimates (LCCE) and program office estimates (POE)

    • Experience with independent Government cost estimates (IGCEs)

    • Must be skilled at switching between assignments as priorities change

    • Experience providing cost estimating expertise at all organizational levels

    • Experience preparing briefings that are used with senior leadership

    • MS Office proficient with advanced Excel required

    Clearance

    • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Mathematics, or Economics and related field

    Preferred Requirements

    • Experience developing cost estimates using Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools (ACEIT)

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    • Strong analytical ability required.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, combined with ability to communicate at all levels.

    • Experience providing analysis for multiple large projects

    • Experience working with Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Cost and Economics (DASA-CE) personnel

    Other Qualifications

    • Ability to work in office/field/lab environments

    • Ability to travel 20% conus

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $125,000.00 to $155,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
