  • Join AutoZone as a Sr. Corporate Recruiter and Military Program Manager that makes a meaningful impact! This key role is reasonable for driving our Military Programs and corporate recruiting at AutoZone!

    This role designs and implements innovative recruiting strategies that attract exceptional military talent to AutoZone. You'll work with internal field recruiters, maintain external partnerships, perform full cycle recruiting for corporate roles, and develop a pipeline of top talent. You will work cross-functionally to create strategies that establish AutoZone as an employer of choice for transitioning service men and women and veterans. You'll work to influence partnerships and establish scalable best practices for Military/Veteran hiring at AutoZone.

    This is a hybrid work arrangement working in our Memphis Store Support Center (SSC) 3 days a week, working from home 2 days a week.

    Responsibilities

    How You'll Impact the Business:

    Corporate Recruiting Effectiveness

    • Manage full cycle recruiting efforts on assigned corporate requisitions ensuring a seamless and efficient process.

    • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide expert guidance on recruitment best practices.

    • Consult with business leaders to identify talent needs and develop sourcing strategies to attract diverse candidates.

    • Advanced use of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and tools (LinkedIn, Indeed etc.). Follows set processes and SOPs and suggests improvements and efficiency ideas.

    • Analyze recruitment data to identify trends, measure the effectiveness of talent acquisition strategies (including Military programs), and provide actionable insights to improve the hiring process.

    Military Program Management

    • Establish and deliver the roadmap for enterprise-wide military recruiting strategies, tailored by line of business, to include metrics for success.

    • Strengthen and expand our existing external military partnerships (i.e. Hiring Our Heroes, SkillBridge, etc.) to build awareness of AutoZone and maximize the pipeline of qualified military talent applicants with the goal of converting applicants into hires.

    • Oversee and optimize the military candidate pipeline to find, engage, and attract top military talent for roles in the Store Support Center, Distribution Centers (DC) and Field.

    • Mentor and train recruiters, human resource business partners and hiring managers on best practices for acquiring military talent in the organization.

    • Build relationships and develop partnerships with AutoZone's business resurce groups.

    Events

    • Create and manage an annual calendar of military base recruitment events and oversee all logistical coordination and implementation.

    • Attend events and speak with military candidates conducting exploratory conversations around career paths in the Stores and DC's.

    Communication and Branding

    • Create, develop, and update content (digital, print, presentation) to attracting military talent to the organization.

    • Enhance AutoZone's employer brand within the military community through targeted marketing and communication strategies.

    • Develop and distribute toolkits and job aids to support hiring managers and recruiters in effectively identifying and engaging military talent

    Qualifications:

    • 6+ years' experience in recruiting, sourcing, human resources or military service

    • 1+ years demonstrated experience in Military Recruiting Program Management

    • Understanding of military talent and how to translate experiences into opportunities within in a corporate setting

    • Prior military service a plus

    • Intermediate Microsoft Office

    • Experience staying current with recruiting industry trends, developments, and technologies.

    Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

    • Requires the communication skills necessary to build commitment to the Military Program from internal partners.

    • Strong written, oral, and presentation skills.

    • Excellent organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.

    • Requires a understand of full cycle recruiting, ATS systems, and sourcing tools.
