Did you obtain your AA in Accounting or have 5+ years of transactional accounting experience and desire to work with a small, tight-knit welcoming, relaxed accounting team? This Accounting Specialist opportunity will start off focused on owning the accounts payable function and helping with light collections. It will evolve into helping with month-end close. The company is currently on Great Plains though is looking to implement a new accounting software system. You would be instrumental in the testing phase! This role is 100% onsite and offers some flexibility on start and end time.

salary: $24 - $28 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

education: Associate

Responsibilities

• Support the CFO and Staff Accountant with a variety of transactional accounting tasks

• Take on and own the Accounts Payable function

• Code invoices

• Process and audit invoices

• Research inquiries and issues

• Assist with the Accounts Receivable function

• Send reminder emails to past due clients

• Key information into Great Plains

• Assist with month end close

Skills

• Accounts Payable (4 years of experience is required)

• Accounting Coursework (2 years of experience is required)

• Great Plains (2 years of experience is preferred)

• Invoicing

• Reconciliation

• Accounts Receivable

• Business operations

• Bank Reconciliations

• General Ledger
