Sr. Accountant

Description

We are seeking a skilled Sr. Accountant for an immediate opportunity with one of our government clients. This role is central to our finance department, where you will be tasked with handling account reconciliations, general ledger overviews, and month-end close procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough account reconciliation tasks to ensure accurate financial records

• Oversee and manage balance sheet reconciliations to maintain financial integrity

• Perform bank reconciliations to verify the company's cash position

• Maintain and update the general ledger system, ensuring the accuracy of financial data

• Prepare journal entries and post them to the general ledger

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to create and update financial spreadsheets

• Execute month-end close procedures to finalize financial records for the month.

Requirements - Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required.

• Capability in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is essential.

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations is necessary.

• Knowledge of the General Ledger is crucial.

• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries is a must.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.

• Experience in Month End Close procedures is necessary.
