Sr. Accountant

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Hayward, California. The role is within the industry of construction, where you will be expected to oversee and manage various financial processes. This includes the preparation and analysis of financial reports, the management of accounts payable, and the utilization of various financial software systems to enhance reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines

• Handle accounts payable processes, including vendor payments and reconciliations

• Assist in forecasting cash flow and budget preparation to support strategic decision-making

• Process payroll in an accurate and timely manner, adhering to all relevant regulations

• Utilize governmental accounting principles to maintain compliance with tax laws and regulations

• Perform account reconciliations and maintain the integrity of the general ledger

• Apply advanced financial concepts to analyze financial data and provide insights to management

• Use various financial software systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities. Requirements - Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.

• Demonstrable experience in General Ledger management and Journal Entries.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Experienced in conducting Month End Close.

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP is essential.

• Knowledge of Fixed Asset Accounting is required.

• Experience in the Construction industry is preferred.
