Job Description

Use Spot Welding equipment to apply two shaped copper alloy electrodes to concentrate welding current into a small 'spot' and simultaneously clamp the sheets together. Force a large current through the spot to melt the metal and form the weld. Install proper electrodes on the spot-welding machine and adjust control for proper heat, pressure settings, and timing of current. Use the proper amount of heat to match the sheet's material properties, thickness, and type of electrodes. Work from routings, prints, or instructions and inspect work using a micrometer, caliper, and precision measuring instruments. Examine welded components for any defects and deliver the first piece to inspection for verification of dimensions and weld accuracy. You will be responsible for producing the highest level of quality, utilizing control plans, customer drawings, and appropriate work instructions. Additionally, you will supervise and identify any faults in operating the equipment or in relation to any material or equipment, then notify the supervisors.

Essential Skills

• 1+ year manufacturing experience

• Good and stable work history

• Mechanically inclined

• Spot welding experience from previous jobs is nice

• Good attitude and cultural fit

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00
