Splunk Engineer

$70/hr - $75/hr
My client a small cybersecurity consulting firm is seeking a Splunk Engineer to join their growing team. 6-month contract-to-hire position which requires 2-3 days onsite in either Manassas or D.C. You will support the customer's overall cyber threat analysis efforts. Must successfully qualify for a Public Trust Clearance.
Required Skills & Experience:
Strong experience with Splunk including installation, maintenance (version upgrades), operations (configuring log management, creating dashboards, creating alerts, managing communication methods such as pop-up windows, emails, or automated phone calls).
5 or more years of hands-on experience with security monitoring tools such as Log Management, Vulnerability Management, Intrusion Detection/Intrusion Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), Firewalls, Network Access Control Systems (NACs), Identity Management systems and NetFlow.

Knowledge of cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Ability to swiftly analyzing, investigating, and comprehending complex security issues and their impact on a customer's business.
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
