    UPMC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to support inpatient rehabilitation services at Williamsport Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on patients' lives while working in a supportive and dynamic environment.

    Position Details:

    • Work Hours: Approximately 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

    • Flexible Schedule: Includes rotating weekends (approximately every fourth) and holidays.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Productivity: Achieve and maintain a level of productivity that meets or exceeds facility standards.

    • Record Keeping: Prepare necessary time records and maintain accurate progress notes and professional records for all patients.

    • Patient Care: Provide appropriate speech pathology treatments and diagnostic evaluative services for all clients.

    • Reporting: Prepare diagnostic and evaluative reports with recommendations for each client.

    • Data Management: Compile and report accurate data for the financial, statistical, and administrative needs of the Speech-Language Pathology Programs.

    • Coordination: Coordinate the evaluation, scheduling, and treatment programs of clients referred for Speech-Language Therapy.

    • Historical Information: Obtain complete and pertinent historical information on all clients referred for services.

    Qualifications:

    • Certification: Eligible candidates must have completed all Certificate of Clinical Competency requirements.

    • Educational Requirements: MS, MEd, or MA in Speech-Language Pathology.

    • Certification:

    • CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competency) or meet the educational requirements for certification and be in the process of completing your Clinical Fellowship year.

    • CPR certification based on AHA standards, including didactic and skills demonstration components within 30 days of hire.

    • Licensure:

    • Speech Pathologist license is required for the state in which services are provided.

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.

    • Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) certification.

    • Clearances:

    • Act 33 with renewal.

    • Act 34 with renewal.

    • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal.
