  • Overview

    Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is seeking a Spare Parts Lead to be based in our Aiken, SC location on the Savannah River Site (SRS).

    The Spare Parts Lead oversees all aspects of the spare parts program which provides the necessary research, coordination, administration, and maintenance of spare parts including needs determination, availability, and spare location/warehousing. Acts as the primary point of contact for spare parts for Liquid Waste (LW). Provides leadership to the workgroup.

    Responsibilities

    • Acts as the primary point of contact with regard to the LW Spare Parts Program, interfacing with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and other Site personnel.

    • Provides guidance to personnel, delivering clarity or interpretation of guidelines, procedures, and policies. Ensures personnel adhere to spare part quality, integrity, control and schedule expectations. Plans, prioritizes and assigns work to staff to support objectives.

    • Ensures the establishment, receipt, and storage of all stores/spares items.

    • Validates initiation of spare parts acquisition and changes conform to equipment specifications, procedures, and regulatory standards.

    • Determines proper min/max levels to ensure proper stocking of all critical spares and to guard against production stock outs and minimize risk of production operations delays or stoppages.

    • Proactively manages the LW Obsolescence Program.

    • Ensures spare parts/spare equipment is set up to maintain required CLIs. Identifies Manufacturer ID and Part Number of spare parts/equipment, maintaining integrity between equipment number(s) and material item IDs.

    • Trains staff and ensures adherence to applicable codes, standards, and procedures, maintaining consistent application of company spare parts policies and practices.

    • Provides subject matter expertise, conveys information, coordinates and/or guides others on critical spares, essential materials, stocking levels, lead time, process cycle and other items related to the spare parts program.

    • Incorporates a repair vs replace strategy.

    • Promotes efficiency and cost reduction methods through innovative solutions to include recommendation of improvements, enhancements, or potential modifications employing Value Stream Analysis, Rapid Improvement Events, Projects and Just Do its.

    • Influences and drives recommendations for proposed materials and/or material substitutions including supplier proposed material alternatives. Prepares, reviews rationale, and justification documentation needed for acceptance of alternatives. Advocates material standardization where appropriate.

    • Chairs the LW Spare Parts Steering Committee.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or high school diploma/GED with work experience in supply chain management, maintenance, engineering, quality control/assurance, plant operations, or other experience relevant to the job functions

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Prior Savannah River Site experience in Engineering, Work Control Planning, Maintenance

    • Experience with and understanding of databases and their structure

    • Proficiency with MS Office software (Excel, Word)

    • Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g. DOE Site)

    • In-depth knowledge and experience with of component types, including but not limited to valves, pumps, motors, instrumentation, and electrical.

    • Previous leadership experience.

Located in Aiken, South Carolina, SRMC is a limited liability company formed by nuclear operations and environmental remediation global leaders BWXT, Amentum, and Fluor.     Minimum Pay

    USD $80,900.00/Yr.

    Maximum Pay

    USD $145,700.00/Yr.
