    Shift Hours: Weekends Nights

    This position is for relocation and housing stipend depending on your location

    What you will do

    • Performs Ultrasound procedures on scheduled shifts including emergency callback, operating ultrasound equipment.

    • Provides patient/family or caregiver education and counseling in recognition and solution of physical, emotional, and environmental health problems.

    • Instructs, trains, supervises, and evaluates student technologists in a positive manner. - Serves as a mentor and resource for other Sonographers.

    • Collaborates with interpreting providers on protocol development and new exams/procedures.

    • Promotes professionalism with the department, hospital, and community; acts as a role model and demonstrates a positive attitude.

    Qualifications

    • Successful completion of an accredited two-year Ultrasound and/or Vascular Technologist training program.

    • Registered by the ARDMS in a minimum of Abdominal and/or Vascular certifications

    • Maintains active registry status with ARDMS

    • 2 or more years employment at Mercy Medical Center as a Sonographer or 3 or more years Sonography experience.

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire, and maintained. Acceptable credentialing bodies and certification include American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.

    • Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.

    • Handle charge responsibilities as needed.

    • No formal disciplinary actions in file in the last 12 months.

    • Actively supportive of management staff and Mercy initiatives.
