Solar Electrician

Job Title: Solar Electrician | $27-35/hr Starting $100/daily per diem.

Job Description

We are looking for solar electricians to assist on a portfolio of projects throughout Maryland. Candidates will work directly with the foreman and be part of a small crew. The main purpose of an Electrical Solar Installer is to install/build various electrical systems/components of solar and renewable energy systems on an active construction site. This person will exercise great care in safety and quality and be a great team player.

Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Layout, assemble, and install various solar array, racking, and tracking components required for the construction of a solar production plant.

• Above and below ground cabling installs.

• Testing, terminations, and QAQC of various systems and components.

• Commissioning and troubleshooting of power and communications systems throughout the plant.

• Safe use of power tools, test instruments, and other necessary equipment

• Use Personal Protective Equipment at all times (Gloves, safety glasses, safety vest, proper work boots, and proper clothes, etc

• Follow instructions from leadman/foreman and field leadership members

Hard Skills

• 2-3 years of solar farm electric experience.

• 5-7 years of commercial electric experience.

• Ground/underground wiring & conduit install experience.

• Reading and interpreting blueprints along with a general knowlege of build codes.

Work Environment

Candidates will report to the Journeyman Electrician overseeing their work area. Shift time is Monday-Saturday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. Candidates must be willing to work overtime, and Saturdays are mandatory.
