  • Description:

    You will be the Software Performance Manager for the F35 maintenance system software development organization.

    What You Will Be Doing

    As the Software Performance Manager, this position requires close cooperation with Agile software teams and the process owners. You will be responsible for ensuring software development processes are properly defined, documented, and communicated to the software development teams. You will be an expert in company and program software development processes and agile methodologies, and will coach and mentor software development personnel on those processes. You will be responsible for definition, collection, and analysis of software metrics and will constantly evaluate and suggest process improvements based on those metrics as well as observations of program execution and evolving company and program requirements. Your responsibilities will include:

    - Interfacing with LM and customer program and functional management

    - Agile coaching

    - Supporting product increment planning with the team

    - Supporting internal and external process audits and evaluations and will insure corrective actions are implemented

    - Coordinating, producing and reviewing software estimates with software architects, leads, and CAMs

    - Supporting release execution and verification, third party software assessments and defect reviews

    Further Information About This Opportunity

    This position will be in Orlando, FL or Fort Worth, TX.

    Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

    Basic Qualifications:

    - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or related field

    - Agile software development leveraging Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or similar methodologies hands-on and demonstrable experience

    - Implementing and/or utilizing DORA metrics to aide in driving DevSecOps the performance of a software team

    - Managing development of large scale applications using DevSecOps principles

    - Developing software products using GitOps best practices experience

    Desired Skills:

    - SixSigma Green/Black Belt certification

    - Project Engineering experience

    - Software Tech Lead experience

    - Experience with audits and/or SW quality findings

    - Systems Engineering - Requirements derivation

    Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

    Clearance Level: Secret

    Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

    Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
