RESPONSIBILIITES

As an Application Developer supporting the Credit Alternatives Desk, you will work on creating and enhancing applications used to grow and manage a private credit portfolio with a focus on scaling our platforms to meet the needs of a growing business. You will interface closely with the Asset Management Engineering, Asset Management, Financial Planning and Loan Origination teams. You will be expected to be reporting to the team-lead/project manager as well as work very closely with the global technical team leads to develop code for meeting business requirements for business critical projects towards target delivery dates.

Immediate priority and deliverables expected in the first 6 months include but are not limited to:

1. Learn the functionalities and data flows of the Credit Alternatives systems & develop ability to question status quo and thereby evolve in a position to discuss code level enhancements

2. Assume subject matter expertise on designated modules/functionalities and perform hands-on coding using diverse frameworks in Scala, Angular/AngularJS, and MongoDB databases.

3. Execute projects w/in the Technology under the guidance of a technical lead and project manager.

4. Continually review the landscape of evolving technologies and participate in proof of concepts, inject industry best practices to enhance and future proof our systems

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

SKILL / EXPERIENCE

An ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4-5 years of experience in building end-to-end solutions in financial domain.

Technical skills for this position include:

• Expertise in building performant and resilient application in Scala or other enterprise level programming language

• Expertise in databases like MongoDB. Good understanding of functional data models

• Experience in building web services

• Nice to have prior experience in AngularJS/Angular

• Expected to have ability to build close client relationships and communications (email and verbal); working with clients both locally and globally.

QUALIFICATIONS -

Technical/Engineering graduate degree required
