  • ASRC Federal Data Solutions, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a Software Developer to support our NOAA contract. This is a remote opportunity and can be based anywhere within the continental United States.

    Role Overview: As a Software Developer, you will collaborate with a dynamic team to design and implement software that contributes to meaningful change. Your skills and creativity will play a crucial role in driving our project forward.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain software applications that have a positive impact.

    • Collaborate with product managers and designers to define project requirements.

    • Write clean, maintainable code and conduct code reviews.

    • Troubleshoot and optimize existing applications for improved performance.

    • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.

    Requirements :

    Qualifications:

    Required -

    • BS/BA degree in related field

    • 5 + years of related software development experience ideally in Python, C/C++ or R.

    • Multi-Cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP) experience.

    • Familiar with web services, API, REST and RPC.

    • Experience developing user stories and define acceptance criteria.

    • Hands-on experience managing all stages of the product life cycle.

    • Technical background with knowledge of software development and web technologies.

    Preferred -

    • Understanding and know-how of LiDAR Based HAND Capabilities, and HEC-RAS Derived FIM Libraries (1D & 2D).

    • Familiarity with Replace and Route Model and Forecast System.

    • Experience with Near Real-time FIM Forecasting System and Services.
