Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our warehouse team as a Shipper. This role is integral to strengthening our receiving area, and we are looking for someone interested in a long-term position with opportunities for growth. The successful candidate will operate a Stand-Up Counterbalance Forklift (Crown) and perform various tasks related to shipping and receiving.

Work Environment

Our dress code includes STWB (shoe or ankle-high), jeans, and a t-shirt or sweater. Shorts and tank tops are not permitted. The shift is Monday to Friday, 6:30 am - 3:00 pm (flexible start time from 7:30 am - 4:00 pm). After 3-6 months, you may be asked to move to an afternoon shift starting at 12 pm or 1 pm.

Responsibilities

• Operate Stand-Up Counterbalance Forklift (Crown) to unload trucks.

• Unload trucks for approximately 1 hour per day, with variability depending on the workload.

• Lift and move products weighing up to 50 lbs. by hand.

• Transfer products from the receiving area to racking.

• Scan items and place them into the correct bins within the warehouse.

• Move product/pallets from the production floor to racking.

• Perform site clean-up tasks.

• Pick orders throughout the warehouse, starting with simpler orders and progressing to more complex ones as training advances.

• Complete shipping paperwork accurately.

Essential Skills

• 2 years of experience operating a Stand-Up Crown Forklift (certification not required, will certify on-site).

• Minimum 1 year of experience in receiving.

• Experience moving unpalletized, loose materials with odd shapes.

• Good English communication skills (comprehension, spoken, written).

• Basic computer skills (SAP experience is a bonus).

• Experience using an RF scanner.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

• Comfortable working at heights.

• Strong safety orientation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Forklift certification.

• SAP experience.

• Experience operating a sit-down forklift.

• Experience in similar environments (rebar, steel, lumber, etc.).

• Willing to learn ERP/SAP systems.

• Ability to work independently.

• Patient and adaptable.
