    candidate will have previous experience managing skilled toolmakers and machinists in the machining and assembly of complex assemblies for the aerospace, construction, and DOD markets.

    Job Duties as a Shift Supervisor

    • Ensure projects are shipped on time and under budget.

    • Evaluate and train subordinate employees.

    • Delegation of work to other subordinates

    • Recommend and/or make improvements with machinery, equipment, and manufacturing methods.

    • Ensure manufacturing equipment is functioning and maintained

    • Route and plan jobs and processing

    • Monitor expenditures throughout plant.

    • Prepare reports and correspondence where information must be obtained from a variety of sources.

    • Make recommendations affecting company policies.

    • Ensure safety guards and personal protective equipment are utilized throughout the plant.

    • Effectively communicate with all levels of employees and outside personnel.

    • Through subordinate personnel, ensure good housekeeping throughout the plant.

    • Follow Work Instructions, procedures, and company policies.

    • Maintain 5S Program

    • Other duties as required.

    Requirements:

    Core Competencies:

    • Aerospace machining

    • Ability to work in cross functional teams to meet customer and company goals

    • Experience with AS9100D

    • Job Planning

    Job Requirements:

    7 years

    total experience with a college degree and/or equivalent experience.

    • Previous experience in management and supervision of machining or toolmaking.

    • Computer skills including spread sheet, word processing and data bases.

    • Thorough knowledge of manufacturing and/or industrial engineering including knowledge of facility maintenance, quality control techniques, production planning, cost reduction, and continuous improvement processes.

    • Ability to read, write, and comprehend written and oral instructions.

    • Ability to deal with all levels of personnel, including employees and outside visitors, in a professional manner
