  • As a Senior Technical Writer, you will be responsible for the direction and development of comprehensive technical documentation including but not limited to authoring, proofreading, questioning, and revising organizational policies and procedures, along with customer facing deliverable documentation. You will have the ability to work with other Technical Writing staff and cross-functional teams to translate complex procedural & technical information into simple, polished, engaging content. You will develop and manage the central documentation repositories and materials with the Technical Writing Supervisor.

    Responsibilities :

    • Work with leadership to direct creation of content production.

    • Create, plan, write, and edit operational manuals, instructions for use, user guides, policy, playbooks, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and assists with communications of change to the field.

    • Conduct interviews with various subject matter experts, users and technical staff to gather data for documentation.

    • Effectively prioritize deliverables, changes in project scope, and shifting priorities in order to maintain project requirements and ensure deadlines are met.

    • Collect customer requirements necessary for the generation of label copy for SOPs, manuals, packaging and product guidebooks. This includes working with various departments to define requirements and project expectations, ensuring compliance with regulatory and legal regulations and standards, and addressing any questions that arise from the project team.

    • Create, publish, and maintain templates for written documentation produced by others (technical specifications, application diagrams, etc.), ensuring a consistent "look and feel".

    • Review and edit customer facing content created by others to ensure that company documentation standards are adhered to.

    • Write user-friendly content that meets the needs of the target audience, turning insights into language that sets our team up for success.

    • Create process flows and standard work procedures.

    • Work with organizational (Legal, Operations, Sales, Sourcing, Internal Audit etc.) leadership and cross-functional teams to capture and record needed updates to existing procedures and to analyze process gaps and identify solutions.

    • Support training curriculum to communicate and educate on procedural changes and new procedures.

    • Assess processes and workflows in future scope business units to harmonize existing process documentation.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree - Communications, Business Management, or Computer Science required; Master's Degree preferred.

    • 5-7 years of experience in technical writing, process documentation and/or online publishing.

    • Ability to travel at least 25% of the time.

    • Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills.

    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office 360 Suite - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio & Power BI.

    • Proficient in SharePoint, Smartsheet's and Adobe Acrobat Pro.

    • Experience with single-source architecture documentation tools.

    • Strong organization skills.

    • Excellent ability to accurately communicate complex concepts in ways that resonate with the leadership, business stakeholders and wider organization.

    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data from various sources to draw insights that inform strategy and prioritization.

    • Strive for continuous process improvement and innovation on business platforms.

    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced, dynamic work environment.

    • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion and innovation.

    • Experience with MadCap Flare.

    • Experience in project management, completing large and small projects.

    • Experience working in a LEAN environment or utilizing LEAN practices.
