  • Job Description Summary

    Help us revolutionize the power grid and the energy we use through smart grid technologies. As our new Product Manager - Technical, you will be responsible for creating strong working relationships and influence across product management, engineering, services, sales and other functional groups, to contribute to the definition and to execute the product strategy for GE Vernova Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) product.

    Within GE Vernova, the Electrification Software business division develops critical software to equip the control rooms electrical grid operators. Those operators use GIS, ADMS, EMS, MMS, Analytics and DERMS software to ensure the real-time and look-ahead operation of both electricity transmission and distribution grids. You will be part of the ADMS product management team where your prime responsibility will be to define the roadmap around the Distribution Network Applications. Your job will require translating the high-level roadmap into clear user stories and problems that we are solving, to prioritize and handover these user stories to the engineering teams, and to guide and track their development under an Agile methodology.

    The role includes meeting with customers to understand their biggest pain points and problems they are trying to solve, help on the migration of many customers to our GridOS portfolio and actively communicate internally and externally our Roadmap.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Owns the product backlog and stories of our existing ADMS Solutions, and feeds into the overall GridOS ADMS product strategy and roadmap.

    • Highly skilled on, capturing and developing Voice of the customer (VoC)

    • Drives consistency and strategy for learning and development for our ADMS portfolio

    • Prioritizes defects and supports customer escalations.

    • Support pre-sales for specific actions (RFP answers, customer presentations, etc.). Helps services for specific actions if required beyond training.

    • Accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. Integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, be involved in long-term planning, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

    • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of own and other, product lines, markets, and customer groups and uses analytical thinking and commercial experience to execute policy/strategy.

    • Has knowledge of best practices and how the Distribution Network Applications integrate with other parts of the portfolio.

    • Is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.

    • Uses judgment and can propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems with projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, or customers. Ability to prioritize information for decision making.

    • Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.

    • Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.

    • This Position will mainly be individual contributors.

    • A job at this level requires strong interpersonal skills. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

    Required Qualifications

    • This role requires experience in the Product Management Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).

    • 10 years of experience within the Power Grid Industry

    • Domain expertise in both functional (power system engineering, control room software applications) and IT (industrial software architectures, new technologies such as containerization, cloud-based deployments, high-speed data buses, etc.

    • Proven ability to plan, influence, organize, coordinate and write.

    • Experience in at least one or two of the following areas: GE ADMS, AEMS, GIS, GridOS, DERMS

    • Real-world knowledge of Enterprise system integrations

    • Proficient in AHA or similar product management tools

    • Familiar with agile methodologies

    The salary range for this position is $155,480USD - $194,00USD. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
