Description

As an Engineer on the ASE Pricing team, you'll support Apple's provider portal integration with our financial system, provider on boarding, contracts, tax and banking, and payment report integration for all of Apple's digital content including apps, music, movies, and books on the App Store and iTunes Store. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with multiple exciting engineering teams, business operations, production support, site reliability engineering, quality assurance, and infrastructure teams. The responsibilities include hands on coding, design, requirements elicitation & refinement, technical documentation, production support, unit testing, quality, performance. Minimum Qualifications

• Extensive experience with Java

• Over 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting highly scalable backend applications

• Experience crafting and implementing RESTful/RPC API and services.

• Significant experience with SQL databases like Oracle and NoSQL like Cassandra.

• Strong production, debugging, and performance tuning experiences and skills.

• Experience working on complex problems and distributed systems where scalability and performance are extremely important (every millisecond counts)

• Ability to adapt to and contribute to the team best practices in coding patterns & standards across multiple code repositories, unit testing and continuous deployment

• Should be independent and able to effectively work with cross functional teams

• Hands on experience with Scala and big data technologies such as Spark and Kafka is a plus.

• Experience with compute/container platforms such as K8s.

• At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
