    Senior Quality Manager R32349

    Key leadership role in ensuring the highest standards of quality for Pierce Bradenton and Pierce Clearwater locations across the entire product lifecycle. This role will develop, coordinate, and implement customer requirements within the organization through a documented quality program plan and implement best practices and processes within operations and support functions. This senior role is both strategic and operational, involving the day-to-day quality performance and is responsible for the long-term approach to product quality. This position will support the cultural transformation that will enable team members to focus their talents on key improvement initiatives aimed at aligning business practices with the Oshkosh core values, goals and objectives.

    YOUR IMPACT:

    • Serves as a member of the leadership team by contributing to the development and execution of the overall business strategy.

    • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent; champion the Oshkosh "People First" competencies to engage, develop, and connect team members as a key member of the management team.

    • Partner with leaders to identify, prioritize, implement, and sustain key improvement opportunities.

    • Direct and manage the implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure internal and external customer expectations are met.

    • Identifies the adequacy and accuracy of quality standards. Where standards are not available, coordinate their development.

    • Engage engineering, marketing, and other functions in new product and service development activities to ensure that customer specifications are clearly identified, agreed, and implemented at early stages.

    • Establish policies and procedures based on ISO9001 and TS16949 standards in conjunction with corporate processes.

    • Enable the Plan, Do, Check, Act culture to create and execute countermeasures to barriers and issues preventing the achievement of business objectives.

    • Build capability within site leadership and work teams through training, mentoring, and challenging current practices.

    • Manage the warranty claims activity to ensure quality concerns are addressed at the root cause.

    • Support and enable an environment for sharing of best practices.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

    • 7 plus years of related work experience

    STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Quality Management certification

    • Six Sigma Certification

    • Technical mastery of continuous improvement tools and methodologies.

    • Excellent project management and prioritization skills. Solid business acumen.

    • Results-oriented, strong analytical skills, and demonstrated process improvement success in managing large teams in a continuous improvement culture.

    • Proven change agent and ability to lead teams through: Making case for change; stakeholder management; change communications; removing barriers; setting milestones and acknowledging progress; and reinforcing change through organizational systems.

    • Ability to influence decision making with or without authority; facilitate groups with diverse perspectives; and bring teams to agreement. High ethical standards and the ability to set that tone for the entire organization.

    • Ability to interact with all levels of the business (senior leaders to working teams); exceptionally good listening skills; able to present complex or new ideas with clarity and simplicity.
