KBR is seeking a Senior Protected Satellite Communications System Analyst to join our team in Alexandria, VA.
Conduct analysis on DoD SATCOM systems with the primary focus on protected strategic (e.g., MilSTAR, AEHF and ESS) and protected tactical (employing modems with the Protected Tactical Waveform enabled and satellites including the PTS Family of Systems, WGS, allied and Commercial SATCOM systems in a wide range of SATCOM bands. Interface with key DoD SATCOM organizations including especially USSPACECOM, USSTRATCOM, NSA, USSF program offices and terminal program offices across the military services on technical aspects.
Develop risk assessments, use analytical tools, assess impact/likelihood of program initiatives and funding decisions, and recommend Course Of Action (COA) mitigations. Participate in senior level forums for SATCOM technical, programming and planning activities. Review USSF Space Warfighting Analysis Center (SWAC) Future Force Design, Initial Capabilities Document (ICD) and Capability Design Document (CDD) recommendations and support business case analysis (BCA) and Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) activities to support development of future programs
US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this job.

US Citizenship and TS SCI clearance is required
12-years related experience plus Master's degree in technical discipline
Operational experience with military communications, especially with military employment of protected satellite communications, including over Defense Satellite Communications System (DSCS), with the MilSTAR constellation of satellites and/or with the AEHF constellation of satellites
Familiarity with coordinating between OSD, Service and Joint (Joint Staff; Combatant Command) headquarters to develop recommended courses of actions to address SATCOM needs of the U.S. military
Familiarity with Joint Operations and joint planning
Experience with requirements traceability and system of system integration
Understanding of communications security requirements
Excellent verbal and writing skills.
Previous experience within a major headquarters or DoD agency staff
Previous exposure to working with the DoD's Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution Systems (PPBES)
Previous experience with preparing, reviewing and navigating documents through the DoD's (Joint Staff's) Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) Preferred Skills:
Awareness of Commercial SATCOM and the potential for military forces to employ PTW-enable mode
