    Broadridge is hiring! Were seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to join our team! You will have the opportunity to participate in the design, build, run, and modernization of our databases. You would be part of our senior technical team and will ensure that our databases are secure, highly available, and recoverable.

    We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means youll be assigned to a Broadridge officeandrequired to be in an office 2x a week.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform routine database administration tasks, including installation, configuration, migration, patches, and upgrades of database systems.

    • Identify and resolve database performance issues, including tuning SQL queries, optimizing indexing, and implementing necessary database changes.

    • Conduct ongoing monitoring and proactive management of database systems to ensure high availability and performance.

    • Support database backup and recovery activities, ensuring appropriate backup strategies and disaster recovery plans are in place.

    • Collaborate with application development and infrastructure teams to provide database support for applications and projects.

    • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents and problems, both independently and in collaboration with other technical teams.

    • Provide operational support, including capacity planning, system performance analysis, and resource utilization monitoring.

    • Develop and maintain documentation related to database administration procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.

    • Participate in an on-call rotation schedule to ensure 24/7 availability and response to critical incidents.

    • Provide support for database-related incidents, working closely with the Incident, management, and escalation teams

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years as an Oracle Database Administratorleveraging:

    • Database design, configurations and builds, logical and physical data modeling, stored procedures, monitoring, upgrade, patching, security, backup/recovery, and data integrity skills.

    • Oracle internals, Clustering, Data Guard, HA, Partitioning and In-Memory.

    • Experience in other RDBMS or NoSQL database technologies such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MarkLogic, MongoDB, Datastax, Couchbase, etc.

    • Experience with advanced Linux OS commands and automation tools and demonstrated UNIX scripting/python skills.

    • Strong proficiency in Oracle Server Database management, performance tuning, and troubleshooting

    • Perform all database operational and maintenance activities.

    • Replicate existing database environments for various testing activities.

    • Generate and analyze capacity and predictive reports.

    • Knowledgeable of AWS/Cloud Technologies and work within our private/public cloud environments.

    • Ensure that database security and compliance standards are adhered to.

    • Participate in on-call duties and provide senior level expertise in troubleshooting and resolving database issues.

    • Communicate with vendors and other support teams to articulate issues and collaborate throughout the problem troubleshooting process.

    • Assess the impact of system failures and proactively take corrective measures to ensure acceptable system performance, availability, and recovery. They determine root cause to database problems and provide solutions to prevent reoccurrence.

    • Participate in automating database tasks for continuous service improvement.

    Compensation Range:The salary range for this position is between $ 140,000 - $160,000.Broadridge considers various factors when evaluating a candidate's final salary including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education.
