Senior MS Purview Administrator

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Purview Administrator to join a large retail client on a 6-month contract. As a Senior Purview Admin, you'll join a Data Governance team on their journey to implement MS Purview for data governance, security and compliance. Collaborating with a Data Governance specialist, the Admin will come alongside to design and implement workflows based on the governance domains and collections drafted by the DG Specialist. They will support in providing best practices and guidance to support the technical implementation of required workflows.

This resource will support in full scale Purview implementation. At the ignition, they will support with establishing the scanning phase whereby meta data is scanned from various sources/ storages, such as Databricks, and categorized according to its type i.e. PII data, confidential data etc. On an operational standpoint, they will monitor these weekly meta data scans and resolve support with incident resolution to correct errors. After the scanned data goes to Purview for categorization, the Admin will go forward to support in establishing and implementing the post-scanning workflows to provide access to requesting users. This will include technical implementations of various sequences depending on the data type, requesting user, and required approvals. The Admin will go forward to provision the data after accesses have been granted, and continue to ensure the workspace is compatible w/ databricks, and Power BI.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years experience working on Microsoft Purview Implementations (with a minimum of 3 implementations)

Experience designing and implementing workflows for integration and scanning

Hands on experience creating workflows for access and compliance

Experience integrating Purview with Power BI and maintaining integrations Retail experience

Technical documentation skills

Experience implementing or supporting the Calibra or informatica systems (adjacent to MS Purview) null
