We have an outstanding Contract position for aSenior Materials Handlerto join a leading Company located in theLaurel, MDsurrounding area.
US Citizenship is required.
Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Pay Range : $18 - $22
To support the relocation of staff and laboratory equipment, arrange conference rooms, and pick up and deliver furniture and equipment throughout the Laboratory.
Responsibilities :
Supports the relocation of Laboratory personnel and equipment using dollies, hand trucks, desk jacks, vans, forklifts, and high cube truck vehicles
Moves office furniture, laboratory equipment, safes, and packages of all types
Operates Laboratory vehicles and equipment such as vans, box trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, manual and power tools
Inspects and maintains equipment and vehicles to be in good safe operating condition
Assists in other areas of the FMT group as necessary
Basic Hiring Criteria :
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of commercial move and/or hands-on material handling experience
Minimum 1 year of forklift experience and ability to obtain a forklift certification
Possess a valid driver's license with no points
The selected candidate will be subject to a Motor Vehicle Record Review
Ability to obtain or possess a valid DOT medical card
Safety shoes required
Desired Qualifications :
Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to lift up to 70lbs and walk extensively
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment based on customers' needs
Maintain good attendance and punctuality
Experience using both hand tools and power tools (especially cordless drills)
Experience handling Hazardous Materials
