We are hiring a Senior Manager, Project Management/CORE to work onsite in our Chula Vista, CA facility. You will develop and own project plans, communicate job schedules, idenitife project problems and assit in resolution development for escalated problems. You will also lead deployment of the CORE/CI Operating System throughout Aerostructures which will lead to best-in-class performance.
What You Will Do
Drive continuous improvement of the business through the use of CORE/CI or other lean tools and methodologies.
Direct, lead and execute the long- and short-term strategy to ensure sustainable results that meet or exceed financial and operational targets.
Establish operational plans in support of policy deployment goals and initiatives for the organization.
Accountable for establishing metrics and ensuring targets are met including event/project closure results achieved.
Lead/Facilitate complex projects/transformations that cut across organizational, functional and internal boundaries and drives to resolution.
Drive/develop improvement and implementation of current and new processes and standards that will have impact on the achievement of functional results
Coach, mentor, and train individuals and organizations within the business on their CORE & CI journey and building successful networks across the organization and discipline.
Interface directly with Executives/Management to positively influence and lead CORE/CI culture and competency improvement across the organization.
Measure and drive CORE/CI progression across the organization.
Facilitate/Sponsor kaizen/CI events including leadership weeks.
Travel up to 25%
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: ~~~
Leadership/Project Management Experience
Experience managing large complex projects and/or multiple projects at once.
Experience with Continuous Improvement (Six Sigma, CORE, etc.)
Qualifications We Prefer
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong presentation skills with experience presenting to all levels of an organization.
Advanced problem-solving skills (e. g. DMAIC, PDCA, DIVE).
PMP Certification
Six Sigma Certification
Lean Certification / CORE practitioner or equivalent
Cross functional work experience (e. g. Operations, Materials Mgmt, Quality, Business Processes, Supply Chain)
Experience working in a matrix organizational structure

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 130,000 USD - 272,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
