Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Senior Manager, Public Relations. This role can be located at New Brunswick, NJ; Raritan, NJ; or Raynham, MA on a hybrid work schedule.
Join Johnson & Johnson MedTech as our Senior Manager of Public Relations and be a vital member of our global External Affairs team. This dynamic role focuses on crafting and driving impactful public relations strategies that enhance our visibility and solidify our reputation as healthcare innovators. In this critical position, you'll drive proactive PR initiatives, collaborate with colleagues to create compelling narratives, and implement effective media strategies across all channels-earned, paid, and owned.
Reporting to the Director of Media and Public Relations, you will work closely with regional and franchise communication leaders, public affairs, and enterprise-wide media teams to align essential public relations initiatives within the Global Corporate Affairs framework. Lead proactive public relations initiatives for J&J MedTech, partnering with business unit communicators to create engaging stories and implement media strategies across all channels.
Develop and implement unified, above-brand campaigns that align focus areas across the J&J MedTech sector.
Cultivate strong relationships with internal partners and external journalists, serving as a trusted advisor and thought leader to enhance impactful media strategies.
Drive an awards and recognition strategy that showcases the accomplishments of J&J MedTech and its leaders, finding opportunities for industry acclaim and thought leadership.
Build and maintain a cohesive narrative toolkit ensuring consistent messaging aligned with business goals and corporate communications.
Support communications for M&A activities and special projects, ensuring clear and consistent messaging resonates with internal and external partners.
Provide critical communication support during crises or reputation management issues, maintaining clarity and consistency in messaging across materials.
Collaborate with digital and social media colleagues to integrate traditional PR efforts with modern digital strategies, amplifying the MedTech sector's message across all platforms.
Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field is required.
At least 8 years of experience in public relations, communications, or media relations is required.
Proven experience in leading media relations, crafting press materials, and securing media placements is essential.
Strong understanding of PR strategy and execution.
Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or MedTech) is a plus
Familiarity with working alongside internal partners and external agencies to deliver cross-functional PR campaigns.
Outstanding writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor messages for various audiences.
Strong project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
The anticipated base pay range for this position is 120000 to 207000.
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.

Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
Vacation - up to 120 hours per calendar year
Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington - up to 56 hours per calendar year
Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays - up to 13 days per calendar year of Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
