    We are looking for a Project Management leader ready to lead project managers for global teams based in the US and Europe to drive consistency and best practices for all projects for the Biotech R&D group within Beckman Coulter Life Sciences.

    This will be a hybrid position to our location in either Loveland, CO OR Indianapolis, IN.

    In this role, you will be responsible for:

    • Identify project management gaps and skill levels needed and methods to fill and deploy those resources to projects as needed across all projects for the organization.

    • Training/Standard work - Work on development and training plans for team members. Facilitating deployment of project management standard work to all project leaders and or teams. Ensuring awareness of any required DBS tool related to project execution. Facilitate and coordinate any needed project management training and immersion in conjunction with the PMO office. Ensures team members are aligned and appropriately supported and trained in standard project management, project risk, risk impact and risk mitigation processes.

    • Align with PMO office - Conducting and ensuring completion of required VPM assessments on all local projects with Gemba walks as needed. Communicating any project management organizational changes to the PMO for the update of the PMO organizational chart. Reviewing VPM and CPD calendars monthly to ensure that all local events are captured so that facilitators may be assigned.

    • Direct project management - Project manager for cross-functional teams and complex activities that may span functions, organizations, geographic regions and cultures, by utilizing the expertise of all required disciplines. Develops project plans, identifies dependencies, creates and assesses time and budget estimates, analyzes critical path, analyzes risks and constraints, and identifies resource requirements. Maintains full control of project timelines, resources, and budgets. Identifies and manages project issues, risks and schedule conflicts and applies problem solving methodologies with the team as needed.

    • Communication - Uses technical experience to support and interact with scientists, engineers and marketing to support product definition, project scope, risk management and design control activities. Develops effective relationships, builds credibility, and maintains communication with stakeholders at multiple levels, including those external to the organization. Communicates all types of information to the project team, management, and all project stakeholders, and communicates difficult information effectively to leadership. Persuades managers and leaders to take action.

    • Adheres to all policies and procedures.

    The required qualifications for the job include

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field

    • 14+ years of related experience in Project Management

    • 10+ years of experience as a people manager

    • Leadership and a desire to manage managers who lead teams to build great products.

    • Experience working with globally distributed teams and a proven track record delivering projects on time.

    • Excellent time management, meeting facilitation, communication, and documentation skills

    It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in

    • Experience as a manager of managers

    • Experience leading teams working on software-hardware products and pure software products.

    • Experience in the development of biotech devices and a solid understanding of FDA Quality System Regulation

    The salary range for this role is $160K-$200K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

    This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
