  • Pequot Manufacturing is seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Accountant to join our dynamic corporate financial team! This role involves managing and analyzing financial information while ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures.     Key Responsibilities:
    • Prepare monthly and year-end financial statements; reconcile balance sheet accounts.
    • Accurately record and analyze revenues and expenses.
    • Resolve accounting discrepancies and prepare journal entries.
    • Create monthly financial reports and support budget activities.
    • Assist with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll administration.
    • Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor taxation issues.
    • Supervise accounting staff's output to ensure quality and compliance.
    • Assist with preparation for the annual outside auditor's financial statements and review process.
    • Manage and administer controls and reporting procedures for the inventory system.
    • Offer guidance to corporate staff in resolving complex financial problems.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of proven experience in financial analysis or accounting.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and ERP systems.
    • Excellent analytical and communication skills.

    SKILLS & ABILITIES

    Education

    Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) required; Field of Study: Accounting or related field.

    Experience

    5+ years of experience in Accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

    Computer Skills

    Must be extremely proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other MS Office programs, higher-level accounting programs, and ERP software; 10-key calculator.

    Business casual dress guidelines; willingness and ability to cover other team members' duties when absent; ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality; must work well with fellow team members.
