Summary
The Senior Manager of Insights garners insights from both primary and syndicated data across the Perdue Foods enterprise, gathering data and interpreting into stories that are actionable. The insights/marketing research manager role will support company growth and drive the voice of the consumer across all the company's brands. They support brand/product teams in creating new products, strengthening positioning, and aid in advertising, with effective and efficient quantitative and qualitative methodologies. They will partner with our agencies and vendors, such as IRI, Kantar, Qualtrics, IPSOS, and other key research suppliers. The Senior Insight Manager will continually improve capability and competency through innovative tools and techniques and will interface directly with senior leadership in sharing findings and recommendations. The Sr. Insights Manager will lead projects and build relationships across the organization and 3rd party market research vendors.
The salary range for this position is $111,000 - $167,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance).

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Lead and execute foods consumer and customer research agenda. Proactively identify priorities, develop appropriate market research methodologies/studies, collect data, analyze results, synthesize and clearly communicate insight and recommendation(s).
Creation and execution of research plans for brands, channels, and other corporate initiatives to include, but not limited to the following:
Recommending and evaluating various approaches to strategic research
Brand Health & Reputation Tracking
New product concept testing
Quantitative research testing such choice-based models, segmentation, path to purchase, consumer decision tree, marketing media mix
Qualitative research as needed, delivering reports in an accurate and timely manner
Communication testing - advertisements, packaging, etc.
Gather data and develop reports in IRI Unify including POS, Panel, Shopper insights research and be able to integration of syndicated and custom research
Lead yearly brand situation assessment with research vendors in preparation for growth planning with team
Help develop research Best Practices for the organization
Assist Category Management/Sales teams in unpacking the shopper journey, consumer decision criteria, and bringing the consumer voice to life, especially as it relates to retailers/sell-in presentation
Present key findings and actionable recommendations to marketing, cross functionals, and various leaders across the organization
Create strategic partnership with brands, channels and portfolio leads, helping to connect insights and recommend actions and clear next steps
Lead/influence insights thought leadership and stay current on trends for retail and foodservice
Drive organizational capability and competency through innovative tools and techniques
Design and lead quantitative research (surveys/questionnaires, polls) and provide statistical analysis of data
Expert storyteller that uses data visualization and statistical software programs via tools such as Qualtrics, custom DIY platforms, SurveyMonkey, SPSS, XLSTAT, Tableau, Power BI to gather, interpret/synthesis, and deliver insights/recommendations from working teams to senior leadership
Lead qualitative projects using our DIY internal virtual focus group platform and develop qualitative AI research using our custom platform, UserTesting
Minimum Education
Experience Requirements
Background in Marketing, Business or related field required (minimum 5 years). Our ideal candidate will have/be:
Prior experience in a relevant market research role, and consumer insights experience on the client-side (CPG preferred)
Experience leveraging syndicated services (e.g. Nielsen or IRI Scanner, Mintel, Numerator and Panel Data, Technomic, etc.)
Superior communication, collaboration, organizational and interpersonal skills
Strong statistical knowledge to design and analyze data; presentation skills (written, oral, and across Microsoft Office Suite)
Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects
High attention to detail
Experience Preferred
CPG experience. Master's degree. Protein experience. Experience with survey and analytic programs such as Qualtrics, Google Cloud Platform (Google Analytics), and qualitative AI.
