  • Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst

    Job Description

    We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst with expertise in lease accounting, specifically on the application Costar. SAP experience is a plus. The ideal candidate will be interested in building their knowledge in this area and becoming a key contributor to the team.

    Responsibilities

    • Supervise month-end close and execute internal control processes.

    • Review and ensure timely and accurate completion of balance sheet reconciliations.

    • Act as the key resource bridging technical accounting, systems, and internal processes to meet business needs.

    • Prepare analyses and develop processes for the team to record and monitor complex accounting transactions.

    • Collaborate on important projects with cross-functional teams across the company.

    • Act as a key contact for external and internal auditors (e.g., SOX and Accounting).

    • Review key deliverables provided to the Global Accounting and SEC Reporting teams (e.g., PBCs, Business reporting).

    • Train to oversee leases, including table and income leases.

    • Test and prepare reports, ensuring a thorough understanding of standards.

    • Manage the offshore team.

    • Handle revenue recognition (ASC 606).

    • Manage fixed assets, including portfolio recognition.

    • Provide backup support for the offshore team as needed.

    • Support the onboarding of Firehouse subs.

    • Develop creative financial setups and understand the differences between tangibles.

    Essential Skills

    • Finance, accounting, financial analysis, financial reporting, and reconciliation experience.

    • Experience in fixed asset, deferred revenue, and lease accounting.

    • Full cycle accounting experience.

    • Month-end close experience.

    • Balance sheet reconciliation expertise.

    • Understanding of SOX/internal and external audit.

    • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) certification.

    • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel (Pivot tables, H&V look up).

    • Experience with Costar and SAP/SAP ERP.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    • Experience with Big 4 accounting firms and increasing responsibilities in managing month-end closes for large organizations.

    • Excellent organizational, project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

    • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).

    • Ability to quickly learn processes and procedures.

    • Ability to govern process change implementation programs with a focus on developing automated processing.

    • Demonstrated ability to establish collaborative relationships with cross-functional business partners and all levels.

    • Ability to work well in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.

    • Attention to detail and ability to prepare high-quality outputs.

    • Results-oriented with the ability to be agile in execution.

    • Knowledge of PowerQuery and PowerBI is an asset.

    • Self-starter with the ability to work proactively and independently.

    • Knowledge of Hyperion/OneStream is considered an asset.
