These RF components, made from Aluminum, Copper and Stainless Steel, allow Scientists and Engineers to create cutting edge medical and radar systems, including extreme high power or ultra-high vacuum RF devices.

    Microwave Techniques is searching for a Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician, the ideal candidate will have 5+ years of maintenance technician experience with a self-starter mindset. The person will be involved in executing routine maintenance tasks by using skills from multiple trades to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of the facilities and equipment. Expectations are the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Work duties will fall in different trades, including mechanical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and safety, with broader knowledge in electrical, HVAC and ground maintenance. This role is positioned to become a supervisory role.

    Responsibilities:

    · Maintain and repair the Gorham facilities & equipment, utilizing multiple trade skills, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.

    · Trouble shoot and diagnose equipment issues.

    · Repairs building plumbing, door hardware, fire and safety protection, fans, lights and related items.

    · Conduct and documents regular facilities inspections, both required by OSHA and internal controls.

    · Performs electronic recordkeeping documentation for preventive maintenance, repairs and work order assignments. Communicating and closing assigned work orders.

    · Ensure building and grounds maintenance is performed per lease agreements.

    · Point person for expired chemicals and disposal process.

    · Executes hazardous waste disposal, from collecting, to manifest to coordinating disposal, previous experience, but if none, must be willing to learn.

    · Support departments as needed in repairs and preventive maintenance.

    · Responsible for snow removal at door entrances, at both facilities prior to start of business and during the workday.

    · Supports special projects initiatives as needed.

    Requirements:

    Required Skills and Experience:

    · High school diploma or equivalent required, higher education preferred.

    · 5 years of previous experience in facilities maintenance, construction or repair. experience in an industrial setting. Maybe substituted with an associate in a facilities maintenance or trade education.

    · Power and hand tools use are required in maintaining the facility.

    · Must have strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills.

    · Ability to self-direct work and carry out assignments to completion.

    · Ability to troubleshoot, evaluate and identify facility needs, fix as needed and raise to the next level when out of scope.

    · Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.

    · Works well under a team/collaborative environment.

    · Computer literate – using both Microsoft Suite as well as maintenance software to comply with record keeping both internal and mandated by OSHA and DEP.

    · Clear verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.

    · Ability to communicate status in an organized manner to managers and to answer employee questions in a calm manner.

    Physical Requirements:

    · Monday to Friday, day shift 8 hours per day.

    · Climate controlled facility.

    · Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

    · Ability to stand, kneel and sit for long periods of time.

    · Must be able to move within a campus setting.

    · Have no restriction working outdoors when required.

    General office hours are 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
